Human Resources Manager 

 

Position Overview/Primary Purpose The primary purpose of this position is to serve a business partner to company’s business operations in Malaysia (Terengganu) providing support in the following areas: employee relations, performance counselling, compensation and benefits, recruiting, training, payroll, and development with minimum supervision. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations: Provide support to manager in the interpretation of company policies, procedures and programs consistent with company’s philosophy and core values. Maintains knowledge and understanding of federal and/or state laws and regulations related to Labour and Human Resources. Recruitment: Coordinate and administer the recruitment process through the advertising, interviewing and selection of candidates for exempt and non-exempt positions. Ensure the completion of Pre-Employment Medical Check and other background checking requirements. HR Information Systems and Payroll: Manage and keep accurate employee data records for Malaysia employees. Maintain position description library. Facilitate the annual salary / bonus review processes locally. Work on payroll process. HR Systems and Processes: Ensure Managers receive adequate training and coaching on HR activities and processes. E.g. OGSM process, Talent and Succession Planning, Compensation Review processes etc. Ensure the effective utilization of SAP / SuccessFactors across the company. Training & Development: Coordinate Training and Development activities for employees, ensuring accurate record keeping of training completion. Training may include Safety Training, Corporate Compliance Training (Code of Conduct, Anti-Corruption Training) and Professional Development activities. Values, Culture, Engagement: Coordinate or assist in the organization of local team events, awards and other activities including, Service Awards, Employee Recognition Initiatives, C-Day, Company functions or events. Administer and coordinate the implementation of VOE surveys and partner with the business to ensure action plans are created and initiatives implemented to address gaps/ opportunities. Required Qualifications • Minimum bachelor’s degree in HR, Administration or equivalent • Minimum 8 years of experience in full spectrum of HR and project management experience • Proficient in written and spoken English with ability to communicate in Bahasa Melayu for local requirements • Required skill(s): High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, MS Powerpoint, MS Word.
