Senior Product Line Manager

Nordson is seeking an experienced Senior Product Line Manager to drive the strategy, development, and commercial success of our AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) product line. In this role, the successful candidate will oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring that products align with customer needs, market trends, and Nordson’s strategic goals. This position requires a strong background in AOI inspection capital equipment, product development, and business strategy.
Own the Product Roadmap and gather insights from Sales, Engineering, Operations, and market studies.
Collaborate with Regional Sales to create a revenue-focused roadmap ensuring competitive pricing and market alignment.
Work with Engineering for accurate product requirements that adapt to market needs.
Utilize market intelligence to develop a roadmap for addressing future customer needs and driving revenue growth.
Ensure competitive price/performance alignment with industry standards.
Disseminate relevant market intelligence to the teams and identify competitor products for benchmarking.
Support service & spares and optimize the product lifecycle for maximum aftermarket revenue.
Promote tradeoff proposals to key stakeholders and negotiate product specifications that meet customer needs.
Supervise the translation of product requirements into product specifications, providing leadership across hardware and software product development.
Direct cross-functional product teams, including R&D, manufacturing engineering, and quality.
Manage programs with plans and objectives to address technical, performance, cost, schedule, and quality risks.
Assume commercial responsibility for the Product Line, focusing on Top New Products revenue and gross margin.
Develop and implement Go To Market Strategies and hold monthly regional collaborative calls.
Support the annual development of the five-year strategic plan identifying market and business opportunities.
Define and regularly review price lists for the Product Line, ensuring accuracy and optimization.
Analyze competitor products, industry benchmarks, and customer behaviors to refine product positioning.
Provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts specifically for Top New Products.
Master’s degree in engineering and/or business qualifications.
10+ years of product development/management experience in machine vision/AOI systems for SMT & advanced packaging applications.
Strong business development and product management experience, including product roadmap ownership.
Broad technical skills across hardware and software engineering disciplines.
Proven ability to foster partnerships, lead cross-functional teams, and direct work on the product team.
