Electrical Engineer

As a key member of our global new product development team, the Electrical Engineer will define, design, test, document, and release innovative electronic solutions for Nordson Electronic Solutions. The ideal candidate will utilize sound engineering principles to ensure products meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards, while providing exceptional value and performance for our customers.

Apply engineering principles to create robust designs that meet all product requirements.
Design electrical components of products, including electrical and control systems for fluid applicators, fluid management systems, and automation machines.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure that designs meet the highest standards in safety, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
Adhere to the stage-gate process (nVision) to plan and achieve project milestones and cost targets on-time and with high quality.
Collaborate with Mechanical and Software engineering teams to integrate designs into cohesive products that meet all performance metrics.
Work with product line management to develop and review technical specifications.
Partner with Operations to design for manufacturability and support the training and building of prototype and beta test versions.
Engage in Voice-of-Customer (VOC) discussions as required to gather customer insights.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
4 – 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
Proficient in SolidWorks design or equivalent software.
Preferred experience with sensors, measuring devices, control systems, and automation.
Familiarity with the stage-gate process and project management is preferred.
Experience in developing and launching new products is a plus.
Experience with customer interactions and factory visits is an advantage.
Proficiency in an Enterprise Resource Planning system, such as SAP, is beneficial.
