Application Support

We are seeking a highly skilled Task and Responsibility Administrator to join our team. This role is critical in maintaining and optimizing our server environments and application infrastructure in a mission-critical 24x7 web-based ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be adept in server setup, application deployment, and performance troubleshooting, and will have experience with various operating systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 

• Server setup and maintenance

• development, testing, staging, training, production environments. Need to be familiar with virtualization to provision more virtual machines on demand. 

• App deployment – usage of Maven to build projects, deployment of apps to servers, management of deployment artefacts via Nexus

 • Load and stress testing – usage of tools like JMeter, JVisualVM, JConsole to troubleshoot and fine-tune application performance 

• Infra apps setup and maintenance – maintenance of all infra-based apps (e.g. Redmine, OpenLDAP, Liferay, Sonar, Oracle BPM)

 • To work on all aspects of administering a mixed OS mission critical 24x7 web based environment. Sysadmin responsibilities would include traditional administration responsibilities to advanced data warehousing, firewalls, networking, OS performance tuning, optimization and application administration issues.

 • Administer variety of Linux workstations/servers, Windows running in a 24x7 environment. • Configure and install new machines.

 • Basic Linux/Unix administration - kickstart/jumpstart server builds, nfs, shell scripting, performance tuning, and end-user support. 

• Implement software and hardware RAID solutions, including Volume Manager, LVM, etc 

• Implement and Manage Virtualization based on Redhat EV and Oracle Virtualization 

• Research, evaluate and implement fault tolerant and HA solutions to the data center. 

• Support Oracle DBA's and Application developers system requirements. 

• Administer enterprise backup systems including DRC operation.

• Administer firewalls in production and development environment.
