The job responsibilities cover supplier quality management (new supplier evaluation, compliance management, quality metric monitoring), supplier development (performance improvement, technical collaboration, implementation of Lean projects, etc.), product and process validation (leading FAIR, root cause analysis, cross-functional design collaboration), technical review (drawing specification review, process understanding, capability studies), and cross-functional collaboration (strategy alignment, new product introduction support).

•    Supplier Quality Management: Evaluate and qualify new suppliers through on-site audits, assessments, and capability studies; Ensure suppliers comply with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, MIL, etc.) and internal quality requirements; Develop and monitor supplier quality metrics, such as LAR, RPPM.
•    Supplier Development: Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives; Partner with suppliers to resolve technical issues and improve process capabilities; Implement supplier development programs focused on Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced quality planning.
•    Product and Process Validation: Lead FAIR submissions for new components or engineering changes; Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using tools like 8D, 5-Whys, and Fishbone; Collaborate with Engineers and Commodity Managers during product development and design for excellence (DFM, DFC, DFSC, DFQ, etc.)
•    Technical Expertise: Review technical drawings, GD&T, and mechanical specifications to ensure supplier compliance; Understand manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, casting, forging, welding, and surface treatments; Conduct capability studies (Cp, Cpk), gauge R&R, and PFMEA reviews with suppliers.
•    Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement to align on supplier strategies. Support new product introductions (NPI) by ensuring timely supplier readiness and delivery.
 

•    7 years of related experience and a Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree. Major in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, or related field. 
•    Hands-on experience with mechanical components and precision manufacturing processes.
•    Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T knowledge required).
•    Experienced in supplier quality engineering or supplier development engineering.
•    Good knowledge in quality and industry standard like ISO9001, ASME, MIL and relevant standard.
•    Proficient in quality and engineering tools/methods, like 8D, CoQ, FMEA, 6Sigma, Deming Cycle. ASQ CSSGB, CSSBB, CSQP certification is a plus. 
•    Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills. 
•    Proficient in working with MS office. Working experience in Power BI and/or Oracle Agile Product Lifecyle Management sys-tem is a plus. 
•    Understanding of electronic components (General ICs, resistor, capacitor, ferrite bead, etc) is a plus.
