English-Chinese Interpreter

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled English-Chinese Interpreter to facilitate communication across diverse contexts. This position is designed for an off-site worker, who will provide exceptional interpretation services for both verbal and written communications between English and Chinese speakers, ensuring cultural nuances are appropriately conveyed.

1. Provide real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and webinars. 
2. Translate written documents, reports, and presentations from English to Chinese and vice versa accurately and efficiently. 
3. Maintain the integrity and meaning of the original dialogue while considering cultural contexts. 
4. Collaborate with various departments to understand project objectives and requirements. 
5. Conduct research on relevant technical terminology to enhance interpretation accuracy. 
6. Prepare glossaries and reference materials to support interpretation activities. 
7. Adhere to confidentiality protocols at all times. 
8. Attend training sessions and workshops to stay updated on language trends and developments.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, or related field. 
2. Proficient in both English and Chinese with native-level fluency in at least one language. 
3. Minimum of 3 years of professional interpreting experience. 
4. Familiarity with interpretation equipment and software such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or other virtual platforms. 
5. Understanding of various industries and cultures related to both languages. 
6. Strong research skills and the ability to grasp complex subject matter quickly.
